Think of it. When you have
an online friend, you may not know their faces right? Yes you may not. But if
it isn’t a human you are friends with, is called a real relationship?
Hello there! Today I am
going to talk about online friendship is a fake relationship. Before I talk
about the motion, I will give you definition. What is friendship? Friendship is
a relationship between friends. Do you know what is relationship? Relationship
is the state of being connected. Examples of relationships are relationship
with our parents, relationship with our friends. If we have relationship with
other people, it means we are connected to them. Do you know what is online
friendship? Online friendship is a relationship between friends online or on
social media. Now, on to my argument.
I agree with this motion
because first, sometimes our online friends are not even exist or they are
robots. For example, if we have a friend on LINE, we talked to them everyday
but when we asked them to take a photo of their self they said no. why? Because
they were not allowed to show their face to people or public so the people who
chat with the robot does not know the robot’s face or privacy. According to www.businessinsider.com said that
Chatbots are artificial intelligence systems that interact with users via
messaging, text, or speech. Many are deployed on chatbot platforms such as
Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, WeChat, Slack, or text messages. Example of
Chatbot is Rinna from LINE app. She can chat with everyone in line because she
is a robot teenager that Microsoft made with the design of line.
My second argument is that sometimes
our friends on social media are fake friends or a person who are willing to
kidnap us. If the person ask a lot of things about you even your private
things, don’t answer all of the questions or the person might kidnap you. Based
on the research www.bbc.com said that there
are some case of online kidnappers who kidnapped kids. One of that case is a
girl called Alicia Kozakiewicz who was 13 years old when she slipped out of her
home in Pittsburgh to meet someone she had been chatting to online. Then, it
went terribly wrong. Now, she’s 27 and she wants to help children from
kidnappers.
For my answer on the first
paragraph is no, it is not real relationship because first, our online friend
may not be a human. Yes, it is right because there are Chatbots who can answer
hundreds of people chats at the same time. Second is because some of our
friends online are kidnappers who are willing to kidnap us, children. Yes it is
right because as I said, there are many cases of online kidnapping. So from all
of this, I believe that this motion should stand.
